Why we hold information

BuildASite uses business contact and public website information to assess and present a private website concept. Customer briefs and enquiries are used to deliver the requested service.

Private previews

Previews use non-guessable links, are marked unofficial, blocked from search indexing and expire automatically. They are not a public directory; prospect contact actions remain demo-only and their forms do not impersonate the business.

What we record

We record the source, excerpt, date, confidence, rewrite rule and publication permission for material business facts, plus essential preview events, messages, choices, fulfilment effort and direct cost. We do not use invasive browser fingerprinting.

Outreach and objections

Outreach is restricted to relevant corporate subscribers such as limited companies and LLPs. Every recipient can object, opt out or request deletion. Suppression records are retained so the request is respected.

Enquiry uploads

Photographs are stored outside the public web root, validated as images and placed in private quarantine. They cannot be downloaded until an operator releases them. Enquiries and files are retained for no longer than the configured period (currently 90 days) unless operationally required or deleted sooner. Do not upload identity documents, financial details or anything unrelated to the job.

Publication and rights

No prospect concept is published as the business. Publication requires authority and confirmation that supplied logos, copy and photographs may be used.
